Artist Statement

My artistic expression is the release of my inner emotions in combination with artistic theory I’ve learned. It is the bridge of my thoughts to reality. Symbolism, form, space and mute colors are the main principles and elements I focus on to captivate a viewer. By rendering a blend of traditional and contemporary artwork, I hope the common viewer can digest the composition of my pieces fully. I believe in creating accessible pieces with mediums such as acrylic paint and using the details of my craftsmanship to tell a story. For me, art is an unrestricted expressive power to display my identity.  It is the way I overcame my difficulties with poverty and allows me to continue to persevere and move forward.
